Taronga Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Sydney. With the beautiful harbor scenery as its background, it has become one of the must-see attractions in Sydney. Founded in 1916, the zoo covers an area of about 30 hectares and houses more than 400 species of animals, including representative Australian animals such as koalas, platypuses, kangaroos, dingo dogs, wombats, Tasmanian devils, Australian birds, as well as chimpanzees, penguins, otters, rhinos, seals, raccoons, lizards and reptiles. Built on the mountain, in the zoo, you can not only see the scenery of Sydney Harbor, but also see a variety of truly free-range animals that belong to nature. This has also become a favorite place for Sydney residents to go with their families on weekends, full of the beauty of Australian zoos.
